Compliance Testing
Since inception, Avogadro has been involved in every type of compliance demonstration for industrial, commercial, institutional, or municipal clients. The quintessential stack test proves that either the concentration or mass emission rate of a criteria pollutant is below its standard. This compliance test is generally sanctioned by a federal, state, or municipal authority in a written protocol and is often witnessed by a representative thereof. Test results often require certification by the stack test team and a responsible official of the facility. Compliance demonstration may be continual over the life of the air permit, license, or Plan Approval.
Avogadro specializes on the following types of compliance demonstrations:
- Batch operations
- Capture efficiency evaluations for VOC enclosures
- Concentration-based and hourly rate standards
- Destruction efficiency tests for catalytic, thermal oxidizers and RTO
- Removal efficiency tests for air pollution control including:
- Absorption Processes
- Adsorption Operations
- Baghouses, Filter boxes
- Cyclones
- Scrubbers
Informational test programs have a variety of purposes, but generally allow to the facility to investigate its current emission inventory to make potential changes in preparation of a compliance test. Potential changes may include but are not limited to:
- Capacity
- Injection Rate,
- Temperature,
- Residence time
- pH
We have been involved in the following types of diagnostic test programs:
- Air Pollution Emissions Inventory
- Characterization of Unknown Pollutants
- Destruction efficiency
- Material Balance
- VOC Identification
